Born Vanessa Thomas in the hills of Laventille, this petite young lady started her professional musical career back in 1997 with a Shel$hoc (RIP) produced “Slow Wine” track with Maximus Dan.
Known in the musical world as “Precious” she has also giving contribution such as “Riding it” and “Ring my bell,” “Watch d people” with Machel Montano, “Independent Ladies” with Allison Hinds and “Baby” with 3Suns among others.
In 2006 she started her broadcasting career as a radio announcer at a now defunct radio station before moving to Soca 919fm in 2007.
Not anything like what you would expect her to be considering the industry she chose, Vanessa aka “Precious” prefers to keep things simple and is a more “to herself” type of person.
She does not drink nor smoke and hardly ever parties, but instead prefers to read and just chill at home with the people that matters most: Her family
When asked why she ventured into radio/news announcing she coyly answered “because working on radio is the next best thing after music.”
